Serbia & NATO IPAP: cooperative approach to better security / IPAP: the citizen in the safe and secure environment
Centre for Politics and Euro-Atlantic Partnership in partnership with the International Police Association (IPA) Regio Novi Sad, has organized conference „IPAP: the citizen in the safe and secure environment“ (as the part of the project „Serbia & NATO IPAP: cooperative approach to better security“) with the aim to improve public access to the key elements of NATO-Serbia cooperation (from perspective of potential benefits) as well as translate NATO-Serbia cooperation from abstract statements into every-day, reasonable activities by presenting overview of the objectives of the NATO-Serbia Individual Partnership Action Plan in the fields of defense reforms as well as civil emergency response mechanisms. Main conference topics would be considered as follows: how to implement NATO civil emergency response mechanisms and planning practices in Serbia’s context; how to gain better insight and understanding of the NATO’s civil emergency response mechanism - how Serbia could request assistance in cases of natural or humanitarian disasters; how to protect women and achieve gender equality in emergency situations; how to develop a complete, coherent and modern education system in the area of emergency prevention and planning?
Conference is hosted by the Faculty of Legal and Business Studies dr Lazar Vrkatić.
