Open Door Policy – From Regional Euro-Atlantic Corner
Project goal is intended at profiling Serbia's Euro-Atlantic identity and decomposing negative “myths” and prejudices as to E-A integrations which causing the obstacles in the Serbia’s way joining Euro-Atlantic community in order to maintain confidence and change the attitudes of the ordinary citizens to the Euro-Atlantic community’s norms, values and standards by generating an in-depth understanding of complex and interrelated, political and economic challenges and demands Serbia is facing with.
Project’s basic premises is that precondition for successful integration is a strong support from the whole society, knowledge about the Euro-Atlantic community, access to reliable and objective information and open dialogue between the government and citizens. Project goals will be attained by organizing study visit: 12-membered group of Vojvodina’s opinion formers will visit Brussels settled NATO/EU headquarters meeting with authorities/ representatives of different bodies in charge of designing Serbia’s Euro-Atlantic road map; meetings will address the issues of Serbia’s Euro-Atlantic road map in the light of possible political, economic, securitiy.. benefits as well as from the angle of the needs of everyday life.
