Becoming a European Citizen: Strengthening Euro-Atlantic Perspectives of Vojvodina - Moravia Media Cooperation
The project’s overall objective is aimed at supporting international media cooperation designed to broaden knowledge, professional capacities as well as system of effective exchange of information by establishing new links between the colleagues of regional/national both print and broadcasting media covering Autonomous Province of Vojvodina/Serbia and the South Moravia region/Czech Republic, through sharing good practices, experiences and knowledge accumulated in Czech Republic during preparations for EU/NATO membership. With such cooperation and on the basis of previous experience of Czech Republic, the project will be aimed at sharing experiences as well as diminishing transitional fears which emerge as obstacles in the Serbia’s way to the EU/NATO, and at encouraging interests, motivations and desire of people to become citizens of the Europe. Creating stronger European ties and understanding among the journalists will be achieved by organizing: two one-week study visits to South Moravia and AP of Vojvodina; by organizing Vojvodina day event in Brno with the aim to present all the public interested chance to get deeper insight into Vojvodina’s affairs, history, cultural events; by organizing one round table focusing on the issue of position of minority media in South Moravia and Vojvodina; by publishing/broadcasting articles, documentaries, radio-shows…in Serbian/Hungarian/Czech/Ruthenian/Croatian.. language.
